This natural trail offers views of the dike walls. The trailhead starts at 9,000′ elevation and gains 600′ to end at 10,400′.
The Spanish Peaks Wilderness Area is a part of the San Isabel National Forest, San Carlos Ranger District.
Location: Take State Highway 12 from La Veta to Cucharas Pass (approx. 16 miles), turn left on County Rd. #46 and travel 10 miles to the Apishapa Trailhead.
