This natural trail is a connector trail between the Indian Trail #1300 and Dodgeton Trail #1302. The trailhead starts at 8,500′ elevation and gains 1,500′ to end at 10,000′.
A non-motorized connection to Baker Creek Trail is available through the Cuchara Mountain Park via their parking lot.
Location: From La Veta take state CO Highway 12 to Cuchara Water and Sanitation office, turn right into Spring Creek trailhead parking lot. Take Dodgeton trail (approx.1.25 miles) to jct. of Baker/Dodgeton trails.
