New Board Member:  Steven B. Mullen 

 Steve holds a Master of Landscape Architecture and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from Montana State University. He is a nationally recognized landscape architect and land-use planner with more than 30 years of experience helping communities shape resilient, place-based futures. 

Raised in eastern Montana, he brings a deep understanding of rural landscapes and small-town dynamics to his work, which spans comprehensive planning, regional strategy, and landscape-scale initiatives across the United States. Steve has led award-winning projects including the Grand Junction Comprehensive Plan and the Pikes Peak Multi-Use Master Plan, and is known for integrating GIS, visualization tools, and community engagement into practical, forward-looking solutions. 

Now based in southern Colorado, he contributes to La Veta Trails with a commitment to stewardship, storytelling, and strengthening connections between people and the landscapes they call home.
