Spanish Peaks Wilderness | San Isabel National Forest
Trail is vague in places and it dead ends at private property at mile 3. Return to West Peak Trail. Views to North and to West. Many dike walls to view.
Elevation begins at 9,200′ and trail gains 2,048′ in elevation.
Location: From La Veta take CO Highway 12 to Cucharas Pass, turn left onto County Rd 46. Travel 6 miles to summit of Cordova Pass. At the trailhead go ½ mi. on the West Peak Trail to a fork and take the left trail.
